50th Anniversary of female officers

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

This year it coincides with the States of Jersey Police's 50th Anniversary of the introduction of female officers into the Force.

Susan Bond WPC1 was recruited way back in 1964.

To celebrate the occasion we have created a short video in which we speak to a few members of our female staff - to learn a little bit about why they joined the force and what they think of it?
