Search for missing person

Police are increasingly concerned for the welfare of Adam Daniel McGrath (58) and are appealing to anyone who has had contact with him to get in touch.

Adam was last seen at home in Rue Du Maupertuis in St Clement. Unusually, he was heard leaving the house at 05:30 yesterday morning (13 May 2024).

Adam’s family car, a white Ford Fiesta Zetec, was found in the car park at Grosnez Castle, St Ouen late yesterday afternoon.

Anyone who may have seen Adam or the car is also asked to come forward.

Adam is described as a white man with white hair, approximately 5 feet nine inches tall and of broad build. He is thought to be wearing a black or navy short-sleeved top, dark grey or black wide legged tracksuit bottoms (either Lonsdale, Adidas make), and black Skechers.

Rescue workers have searched the headland where Adam’s car was found. Police dogs, Jersey Coastguard, lifeboats, Jersey Search and Rescue, Channel Islands Air Search, Air Rescue's emergency drone team, Jersey Fire & Rescue Service crews and honorary officers are all assisting in the search for Adam.

The main focus of the search efforts so-far have concentrated around the north-west part of the Island, with other areas also being identified.

We understand that the public may be keen to assist in the search, but we would ask that they keep the area clear to allow the search and rescue efforts to continue unhindered.

Police would like to speak to anyone who had contact with Adam in the last week to come forward and call on 01534 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
