Break and Entry Police Appeal

Police are appealing for information following two break ins that happened in the early hours of Thursday 23 November.

A person was seen on private premises CCTV entering Beaumont Home Centre just after midnight where they stole a small safe from the premises.

The same person was also seen on private premises CCTV at approximately 03:25 at Le Braye Café, where they entered through a small window at the rear of the property. They also stole the cash drawer from the register, which was later found empty on the beach between Le Braye and El Tico.

A black VW Golf Estate was taken from the Goose Green Marsh area on the same night and was located the following morning (23rd) in a small lane just off the Five Mile Road. It had crashed into a low granite wall and had been left in situ.

The person seen on CCTV was described as slim and wearing black jogging bottoms with a white logo on them, a lighter coloured coat, possibly with a fur rimmed hood, dark trainers with a distinctive white or reflective marking on them, possibly the sole.

Anyone with any information or anyone who may have seen something suspicious in these areas around those times is asked to contact police on 612612 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at
