The investigation into the rape of a teenage girl in Gorey on Halloween.  Finding the man responsible remains a top priority for the force.

Updated information is as follows:

  • 38 calls from members of the public have been received since the release of the e-fit on Friday, 9 November.
  • Police are pursuing over 150 lines of enquiry.  Each must be prioritised and investigated.
  • The list of ‘persons of interest’ is now at 43, having largely increased following the release of the e-fit.  All are subject to a systematic elimination process.
  • Officers are continuing with house-to-house enquiries, having broadened the target area.
  • E-fit posters have been distributed widely.  Jersey Post will deliver an e-fit flyer to all households in Grouville and St Martin before the end of the week.
  • Two detectives from Guernsey Police have joined the investigation this week, in addition to the officer from Devon & Cornwall Police.
