The 36 year-old-man arrested last night (8 November) has been released this afternoon (9 November) on conditional police bail whilst further enquiries are conducted.
States of Jersey Police have had a small number of calls in response to the release of the e-fit image of the offender that was released yesterday.
The Police remain keen to speak to anybody who thinks they recognise this man, in addition to anybody who was in the Gorey Common area between 11:30pm and 12:30am on the night of the attack (31 October – Halloween) and have yet to come forward.
Whilst not shown in the picture, the victim describes the attacker as having a small gap between his top front teeth.
Officers are continuing to work through the weekend and are pursuing a range of enquiries.
