Operation Duke

Police continue to investigate the death of a woman, found on Le Pulec beach last Wednesday, 16th May. The investigation has been named Operation Duke.

A positive identification is yet to take place, but we strongly believe the recovered body to be that of missing 37 year old Zsuzsanna Besenyei.

A Post Mortem was carried out on Friday but that has failed to identify a cause of death, so at the moment this remains an unexplained death and the investigation continues, as detectives try to piece together Zsuzsanna’s last movements.

The last positive sighting of Zsuzsanna was on the evening on Thursday 10th May, and police are appealing for anyone who had contact with, or saw Zsuzsanna between the evening of Thursday 10th and lunchtime on Monday 14th May, to get in touch.

Police are currently working on 140 lines of enquiry but urge anyone with information, no matter how insignificant they believe it to be, to contact them on 62612 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
