Man Shot with BB Gun

Police are appealing for information regarding a serious incident that happened in the car park just off the model aircraft field at Les Landes, at approximately 22:00 on Monday 28th May 2018.

An 18 year old man was parked in the car park with his friends and they were standing outside of their cars watching the sunset. Two other males, further away appeared to be messing about with a BB gun and a couple of pellets were fired in the direction of the 18 year old’s car. Because of this, he has got in his car, a grey Suzuki Swift, and driven over to the two males with the BB gun and as he approaches them the man with the BB gun has pointed the gun through the open driver’s side window and shot the 18 year old in the face at very short range causing a serious injury. The two men then ran off in the direction of the Batterie Moltke car park.

The males are described as being between 16 – 18 years old, both tall and skinny. The male holding the BB gun was wearing a red Adidas tracksuit with a white stripe down the arm, dark jeans and he had on a white bucket hat. The other man was wearing a white tracksuit top.

This is a very serious incident and police would like to hear from anyone with any information. The 18 year old man has sustained a serious injury to his right eye that requires surgery as the pellet is actually lodged in the back of his eye.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 612612 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
