Attempted Robbery - Juvenile Charged and Remanded

Following a public appeal and extensive enquiries, officers from the Serious Crime Unit yesterday arrested a 15yr old male on suspicion of attempted robbery at Samares Store on Friday 9th March. He was later charged and remanded in custody and will appear before Jersey Magistrate Court this morning.

We would like to thank all members of the community that came forward with information, however the investigation is continuing and we would like to appeal to any other members of the public who may have seen anything suspicious in the area on Friday evening to contact Police and speak to an officer. We would like to remind the community that these types of incidents are thankfully rare in Jersey and we continue to work with our partner agencies to reduce the risk to the community of these types of crime occurring.
