2017 Sure Customer Service Award

The States of Jersey Police are delighted to have won the Best Use of Social Media award from the Sure Customer Service Awards.

On Thursday 5th October 2017, Acting Deputy Chief Officer Julian Blazeby, Superintendent James Wileman and the communications team attended the awards and collected the trophy.

The four members of the team that collected the award represent a small selection of contributors and we would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of our Facebook and Twitter admins, a mixture of police officers and civilians, who take the time to come up with fun and creative ways of passing on useful information to the public.

We would also like to thank the public for their involvement in making our social media pages so successful; from passing on useful information for our officers to use in investigations to ‘liking’ our posts and following the excellent work our officers and civilian staff carry out in the community.

Superintendent James Wileman said: “This is definitely a team effort and it’s so important that we have this engagement with the public. Social media is an excellent tool that we can use to get a message out instantly and it enables us to have an open dialogue with the public, using platforms other than the more traditional methods.”
