Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that happened yesterday, Wednesday 26th July 2017 at approximately midday in Bath Street by the Seven Angels restaurant.
Two young sisters were walking along Bath Street, toward Millennium Park when they were accosted by an older man who took hold of one of their hands. The girls ran away from the man to a safe place, where the police were called.
The man is described as being in his 60s, having a tanned complexion and short grey hair with a grey moustache. He possibly has a slight facial disfigurement or a lump on his face. He was wearing a long beige coat, a dark green scarf and he was also wearing a watch with a brown strap.
It appears that after the girls ran away, this man was joined by another man and the two men then headed off in the direction of West Centre.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 612612 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
