Police are appealing for information in regard to an incident that took place on Hilgrove Street, outside McDonalds.

A man and a woman who were together had an altercation with another man inside McDonalds and on leaving the couple assaulted the man after heated words were exchanged. The man was punched several times by the other man and kicked by the female.

This man sustained injuries to his face and was treated in hospital.

The male suspect is described as having longish surfer style hair and was wearing a blue and white Hawaiian style short-sleeved shirt and dark trousers. The woman was medium build with blonde/brown hair and she was wearing a short black dress.
