Security Bike Marking

Thanks to the ongoing assistance and sponsorship from The Channel Islands Co-operative Society the States of Jersey Police have the opportunity to security mark your pedal cycles for free. To date, we have security marked just under 2,000 pedal cycles but we know this is only a fraction of the number of cycles in the island.

We are happy to announce more security marking events in the coming months, which will hopefully enable more bike owners to take advantage of this service.

The cycle marking events will be held at various town and country locations, to make it more convenient for the public to reach us. The Channel Islands Co-op have not only funded all of the security marking kits, but have also kindly given permission to use their premises for some of these cycle marking events.

Katey White, Membership and Community Manager for The Channel Islands Co-operative Society said, “With more and more islanders now taking to our roads and tracks on bicycles, we are pleased to once again support the States of Jersey Police in this security marking initiative.
We hope that many will take advantage of the free services and encourage other cyclists from the local community to have their cycles securely marked and help protect against bicycle theft.”

The States of Jersey Police would like to take this opportunity to thank The Channel Islands Co-operative Society for their continued support with this important initiative.
