New Online Community Safety Booklet

The States of Jersey Police are delighted to announce the launch of a Community safety booklet. The booklet which is available to view online, has been developed as a one stop guide to the vast array of subjects that the Police deal with on a day to day basis.

This free digital booklet gives islanders advice on a range of topics such as, personal safety, anti-social behaviour, motoring offences, drugs and the law, the dangers of excessive alcohol, cybercrime, cyberbullying, internet fraud and identity theft, hate crime, domestic abuse and violence and many more issues that may affect you.

The booklet is not intended to remove the need to call the Police in an emergency, but more to advise the public on keeping themselves and their property safe, what to do when certain situations arise that may require assistance and what they should do and how they can help the Police if an incident was to occur.

The booklet is filled with helpful advice and practical tips on how you can protect yourself in certain situations and how to recognise the warning signs that something is wrong.

As part of the book we have included the contact details of a variety of partner agencies that you might find useful in reporting incidents or if you just want to talk to someone about issues you may be having but don’t necessarily want to speak with the Police.

We hope you find this booklet of use to you and if you still have unanswered questions in relation to any matter that you may think we can assist you with please check out the States of Jersey Police home page for further advice on a whole range of subjects or contact us here at the Police station.

The link to the online booklet can be found on the Be Safe page of our website
