Operation Gable - Update

Upwards of 40 officers and staff are currently working on this investigation, focussing on the last know movements of Ana on the evening of Monday 2nd April.

Officers are working very closely with and in support of Ana’s large extended family and our Community Policing Officers are working with and liaising closely with the Portuguese community.

House to House enquiries continue in the immediate area of Victoria Street and forensic work is still being carried out at the address where Ana was found on Tuesday.

Officers are also analysing the CCTV in the area and other passive data such as telephones and social media.

DCI Alison Fossey, the senior investigating officer said, ‘I would again appeal for anyone with information in relation to Ana and her movements last weekend and Monday to please contact us as it’s crucial we establish her last known movements.

‘Whilst we understand the shock and impact Ana’s death has had within the community, there is no suggestion that the public are at any risk.’
