Public Order Arrests

Following the Muratti on Saturday 14th May, a small minority of rival football fans caused a disturbance in St Helier at the junction of Hilgrove Street and Halkett Street between 17:00 – 18:00. Police were in attendance and cordoned the street off to keep fans separated and to prevent the situation escalating.

Police have been reviewing CCTV and Body worn camera footage to identify the main instigators of the disorderly behaviour and have today made four arrests.

This morning four men aged between 19 and 21 were arrested on Public Order offences and are currently being interviewed by police.

Enquiries are on-going.
