Emergency Services Open Day

Following the success of previous years the Emergency Services Open Day will be held this year at the Rouge Bouillon station on Sunday 11th October, between 11:00 – 15:30.

States of Jersey Police, Fire & Rescue Services and the Ambulance Service will all be on hand to show members of the public what they do. The day will be an exciting and entertaining mixture of demonstrations, displays, exhibitions, and activities for all ages. From a joint emergency response to a simulated road traffic collision, to Police Dog displays, Tower rescues and Paramedic demonstrations, the day will also give visitors an opportunity to see life behind the front-line. Depending on availability this could also include visits to the Police Control Room and the Police Custody Suite.

The two attached posters are the winning submissions chosen from a number of entries inviting young people to submit innovative displays to advertise the day. Daisy Newbald, 5yrs (from JCG Prep school) & Liliana Andrade, 8yrs (from Plat Douet School) are the lucky winners and will receive VIP treatment on the day, engaging and assisting with the day’s events. A further media release will follow next week regarding the two winners together with a firm timetable of events.
