Drugs Seizure - Operation Lundy

At approximately 7.30pm, Wednesday 17 June 2015, the States of Jersey Police arrested two males aged 38 & 28 respectively at Bouley Bay on suspicion of being involved in the importation of an estimated 62.5 kilos of cannabis into the Island. The males are currently being held at Police Headquarters assisting the police with enquiries as the investigation progresses throughout today.

These arrests & seizure were as result of a long term intelligence led operation where the States of Jersey Police were working with Jersey Customs and Immigration Service, as well as French enforcement Agencies and the Guernsey Border Agencies.

The seizure, estimated to have a street value of £1.2m, will be a major & significant disruption to those involved in drug trafficking criminality through the Channel Islands.
