Search - Further Update

Officers and volunteers are continuing searching for missing Adrian Lynch this morning.

The search, which continued into the night, is based around the last potential sightings of Adrian and outwards from these based on possible directions of travel. Yesterday six key zones were searched, including water searches by Jersey Fire and Rescue, and a dive team from the Ports of Jersey.

Today searchers will concentrate on areas to the south, east and west of the last sightings. As yet no trace of Adrian has been found during these searches. Teams conducted house to house enquiries overnight but are still asking anyone in the parishes of St Lawrence, St Mary and St John to check their outbuildings, cars and property and to call in any concerns.

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Turner, who is leading the investigation, said:

“More than three days have passed since the last sighting of Adrian but we must continue in the hope of finding him alive. Our officers and staff from other agencies are working very hard and tirelessly trying to find Adrian and we appreciate the tremendous support we have had from members of the public.

We understand that people want to help and we and the family are so grateful for the support being articulated on line. We are continuing our focused and methodical searching with trained personnel.

We would ask people in those parishes when out and about to remain very vigilant as to any possible indications of where Adrian might is or might have been.

Again we ask everyone in those parishes to carefully check your property and grounds and please report any concerns to us.”

Adrian’s family are working with specially trained Family Liaison Officers.
