Attempted robbery

LOCATION: Pavement outside St.Helier House

TYPE OF INCIDENT: Attempted robbery

APPEAL DETAILS: Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that took place at approximately 7am on Monday 28th April 2014 on the pavement outside St.Helier House.

A Female, 56 years old, was walking down Westmount Road towards town when she was approached from behind by a male with a hooded top partially covering his face. The male tried to steal her handbag as she was on the pavement outside St.Helier House. He was unsuccessful and ran off towards the children’s park.

The male is described as approx. 5’3 to 5’5 with a slim build. He was wearing a royal blue coloured hooded top and dark coloured jeans with faded patches on the thighs.
