Festival of cycling - road closures

The Festival of Cycling will take place over three days - Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June.

Road Racing on Friday 13th June
Two events on Friday so a number of roads closed along Gorey Coast Road, in the Village, Le Mont De Gouray and La Route De La Cote. This is from 11.30 am until 10pm.

NO Parking
All the roads on the course have no parking from 8pm until 10pm Friday 13th June.

Road Race Sunday 15th June
This event will take place in the parishes of Grouville, St. Martin and St. Saviour. The requirement will be for complete road closures on the following roads.

Road Traffic Closures for East of Island
La Rue a Don Coast Road closed from Beach Road to La Route De La Cote from 6am until 10pm.

All roads for the Eastern Course will close at 8.15am and will reopen at 1pm.

Road Traffic No Parking for East of Island
No parking will be available on any of the following roads, but parking will be permitted in lay-by. All cars must be moved from the circuit by and parking will be available from 8pm Thursday 12th June.

No parking will be available on the following roads all cars must be moved from this part of the circuit by 6am Sunday 15th June.

Car Parks
Parking on Gorey Common from Thursday at 9am until Monday 12noon but cars needs to be cleared by 12nonn on Monday 16th June.

Division in and out of Gorey Village
There will be a number of junctions which will enable traffic to cross over to get back to the main Gorey Village and these will need to be very carefully monitored. As the main cycle race passes the junction, which will be every 20 minutes, there will be an opportunity for traffic to get out of the closed road areas to get out to the rest of the Island. These will be specifically designated and will be marked accordingly.
