Plemont Fire Witness appeal

The States of Jersey Police are appealing for witnesses following the fire at the former Plemont Holiday Village over the weekend.

The Fire Service have now completed their investigation and are due to meet Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators at the site this morning to look at the findings of the Fire investigation and explore any forensic opportunities.
Specially trained Fire Investigators have looked at the fire and believe that the likely cause is human intervention, whether deliberately or by accident.
The job of the Police is now to investigate whether the fire was set maliciously.
Because of the remote location of the site and the fact the building is unstable officers may not be able to go in so need the help of the public.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward or anyone with anyone with information to contact the CID office on 612200.
