Statement re sex trade in Jersey

Full statement issued about potential sex trade in Jersey - 

“The States of Jersey Police have recently taken receipt of information that indicates there may be a growing sex trade in Jersey, with some women potentially being trafficked and exploited. Further intelligence development work is underway in order to try and understand the true extent of this issue, but no proactive operational activity or arrests have taken place at this time.

“This work will involve a number of other key agencies within the island.

“If anyone does have any information relating to this kind of activity please call police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

“We are not in a position to comment any further at this time.”
