Beaumont Hill witness appeal

The States of Jersey Police are appealing to anyone who witnesses yesterday's road collision at Beaumont Hill to come forward.

The collision, involving a single cyclist, happened just before 3.30pm yesterday.

The cyclist received serious injuries.

Police would like to speak to any witnesses who may have seen the cyclist travelling from St Peter's Village and down Beaumont Hill at around 3.20pm on Tuesday 16th July.

In particular, police are keen to speak to the driver of an old style vehicle, possibly a Mercedes who we believe may have witnessed the collision, and the driver of a four wheel drive, who we believe was in the area of the St Peter's Village and who saw the cyclist shortly before the collision.

It is stressed that both drivers are being regarded as witnesses and there is no suggestion that they are directly involved in the collision.
Police are also keen to speak to a female witness who came to the assistance of the injured cyclist before the arrival of the emergency services.

Officers that these people contact police on 612612.
