Update on graffiti at St Aubin

Following the graffiti to the sea wall at St Aubin over the weekend the States of Jersey Police can confirm they have now spoken to a number of people in relation to the incident.
Enquiries are still on-going in an effort to identify the person responsible for causing the damage.
Whilst clearly we need to speak to the individual responsible regarding the damage caused, there is also a need to check on his or her welfare and well-being; and we would appeal for him or her to come forward so we can, if needed, provide them with the relevant support.
We would remind the public that the States of Jersey Police have specialist trained officers to deal with all incidents of sexual abuse and work with partnership agencies in providing support.
If any person has knowledge or information with regards to any form of sexual abuse occurring we would encourage them to report the matter to the police so we can provide them with the relevant support and care.
They can contact the police either direct on 612612 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
