At 07:50 hours on Sunday August 11th, a female was pulled from the water in St Aubin's Bay. She is alive and well, and is with Police Officers at A&E. It remains unclear why she was in the water and enquiries continue.
The States of Jersey Police commenced a search of the area as it was believed that there may be another person in the water and worked with the States of Jersey Fire & Rescue Service, the Ambulance Service, the Coastguard and Channel Islands Air Search, who have conducted thorough searches of the bay area.
Following those searches, and with further information from the female at A&E, we are satisfied that there was no other person in the water with her.
