Reward to catch graffiti vandal

Crimestoppers is offering a reward for information to catch a graffiti vandal.

The charity has put up £100 for intelligence leading to the arrest of the person responsible for tags that have appeared around town, and in the west of the island.

The initials, believed to be "ROK, have been sprayed on the sides of several buildings.

Niall McClure, Chairman of Crimestoppers in Jersey said "The recent spate of graffiti is an offence to everyone who lives on and visits Jersey. There is no place for graffiti on the island and Crimestoppers is happy to offer this reward for information that leads to the arrest and charging of the culprit.

"As ever, our preference is for anyone who knows who is responsible to contact the Police direct. If, for any reason, they do not want to speak to the Police they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously. Crimestoppers d"snŸt want to know who you are. We just want to know what you know so that we can pass this on to the Police and this type of mindless criminal damage can be prevented in future.

Anyone who has information can pass it on to Crimestoppers either by calling their anonymous 24/7 phone number, 0800 555 111 or alternatively people can send us information anonymously via our website www.crimestoppers-uk.org, using the Giving Information Form.
