Damian Rzeszowski was sentenced to 30 years in prison today following the deaths of six people.
During his trial in August Damian was found guilty of the manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility of wife Izabela Rzeszowska (nee Garstka), 30, daughter Kinga Rzeszowska, 5, son Kacper Rzeszowski, 2, father-in-law Marek Garstka, 56, family friend Marta de la Haye (nee Klonowska), 34, and Marta's daughter Julia de la Haye, 5.
Following the sentence Detective Superintendent Stewart Gull, who led the investigation, said: "Today's sentence brings to conclusion criminal proceedings following the two week trial in August following the tragic events a year earlier here in Jersey.
"No sentence will ever bring back the loved ones who tragically lost their lives on that Sunday afternoon. Our thoughts & support remain with the families who now continue to try and re-build their lives.
