Warning about theft of bike parts

The States of Jersey Police are asking for the public's help to stop thieves who are stealing motorcycle parts.

Since the beginning of the year there have been 16 cases where motorbike parts have been stolen - a slight increase on last year.

These parts include engine cases, kick starts, leavers and panels.

Officers are asking the public to help tackle the issue by reporting anyone acting suspiciously in the areas where motorcycles are parked or calling the police with any information that could help catch these thieves.

Detective Inspector Steve Megaw said: "We are asking everyone to keep their eyes open and if they see any suspicious behaviour to report it to us on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
