States of Jersey Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a suspected sexual assault on a 27-year-old woman in St Helier in the early hours of Sunday morning (December 18 2011).
The incident is believed to have happened in the grounds of Royal Bank Court on College Hill, St Helier sometime between 2.30am and 4.30am on Sunday, after the woman had become separated from friends following a night out in the town.
Police are currently researching CCTV footage and conducting house to house enquiries in an effort to establish what happened, and are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area or may have information that may assist with their enquiries to contact them on 612612.
