RELEASED TO MEDIA AT 8:50 AM ON TUESDAY 30 JUNE 2009

THE States of Jersey Police are seeking the owner of a necklace which it is believed may be stolen.

The distinctive 18 carat gold necklace, which is made up of gold links, is described as being around 17 to 18 inches long, and is thought to be worth between £600 and £800. It has two white gold fasteners.

The necklace was retrieved by the States of Jersey Police in late May. Other enquiries have failed to find the rightful owner.

Anyone who recognises the necklace as their own is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 612612. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously if you have information about it, on 0800 555 111.
