Valuable watches - information appeal

RELEASED TO MEDIA ON THURSDAY 4 DECEMBER AT 8.15 AM

The States of Jersey Police are trying to reunite what are believed to be two rare watches with their owners.

It is believed that the watches, one a man's watch, one a ladies watch, both a brand called ˜Facconable' which were discovered in a field in Trinity recently, with other jewellery, are valuable, and are not a brand which is sold in the Island.

It is believed that the man's watch is worth approximately £1,500. Both watches are very distinctive, with diamonds on the faces. The man's watch has a black leather strap while the ladies watch, which is smaller, has a pink leather strap.

The States of Jersey Police have checked records but cannot link the found watches to any reported thefts or break ins. Therefore, if their owners are in the Island, they are urged to come forward.

Anyone who recognises the watches as being theirs, or has any information about them is asked to call the CID on 612200.

A picture of the two watches is sent with this release.
