Information sought on jetski

RELEASED TO MEDIA AT 11.10 AM ON THURSDAY 4 DECEMBER 2008

The States of Jersey Police are asking Islanders for their assistance to help identify the user of an abandoned jet ski, or come forward if they have any information about it.

The jet ski was found abandoned and untethered at Bouley Bay and was reported to the Jersey coast guard on Monday 1 December. However, it is believed that the jet ski may have been tethered at Bouley Bay at some point.

It is known that the jet ski is UK registered and is not a locally registered. The jet ski, which is described as a blue Yamaha FX cruiser with a black hull, has extensive damage.

It is not known who was last using the jet ski, and Police would like to speak to anyone who has any information about it, or who may have tied it or untied it at Bouley Bay earlier this week.

States of Jersey Police are now making enquiries to establish the ownership of the jet ski.

Anyone with information is asked to contact CID on 612200 or give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
