If you prefer to speak to someone face to face, you can come to our Visitor Reception Centre at our Police Headquarters which is open from 8am until 8pm seven days a week. There is also an intercom located outside the entrance to the Visitor Reception Centre for times when it is closed and a member of the public needs to speak to an officer. You can also report a crime using our quick and convenient online crime reporting form.

Our Visitor Reception Centre team will be able to assist you with the following:                                        

• reporting crime and other incidents
• registration for sex offenders
• reporting for bail
• producing documents at the request of an officer
• lost and found property
• collecting detained property
• advice and information
• leaving messages for officers and staff

Parking

There are four parking spaces 200 metres from the Police Station located at the entrance to Snow Hill car park. These spaces are dedicated for visitors to the Police Station, paycards are required between the hours of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Saturday and there is a maximum three hour stay. For longer stays please use Green Street car park also located 200 metres away, paycards are also required here.

Opening hours for our Reception area are: 

08:00 - 20:00

Officers are in the building 24/7 and can be contacted if needed by using the intercom outside. All emergency 999 calls and non-emergency 612612 calls will be answered as normal.
