The States of Jersey Police provide an emergency text service, specifically for those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have severe speech difficulties. The number is 07797 790999. This is a text only number and is for use in an emergency only.

Make sure to include your location, full name and to explain the type of incident taking place. It may look something like the messages below.

An emergency may be where:

• An incident is ongoing or a crime is being committed now
• The offender is still there or nearby
• People are injured, being threatened or in danger

Please note you can attend Police Headquarters between 8am and 8pm, where the visitor reception is equipped with Hearing Loop to assist communication for those with hearing aids.
