Emergencies

You should always call 999 when:

  • An incident is ongoing or a crime is being committed now
  • The offender is still there or nearby
  • People are injured, being threatened or in danger

When calling 999, a Jersey Telecom (JT) operator will ask you which service you require and once selected, you will be put through to our 24/7 control room. We will ask for your location and personal details for safety reasons and assess what has happened to establish what help is needed.

Non-Emergency

Online Reporting + Information:

Online Reporting is designed for reporting non-urgent crimes, incidents or providing us with information which does not require an immediate police response e.g. some types of road traffic collisions, scams or frauds, poor standards of driving, lost or found property or you can let us know about any criminal or suspicious activity and explore many other reporting options. We have also provided some useful information on there to assist you.

Any form you complete will be sent to our 24/7 Control Room, where it is assessed and you will be informed of what happens next. It’s easy and helps you report your matter to the most appropriate place, which isn’t always the Police.

Report online

By Telephone:

When you are signposted from our online reporting and information pages to contact us by phone for a non-emergency matter, you can select the most appropriate option when you call us. Some services, such as lost and found property, are not available outside of business hours.

If you are wanting to speak to a specific officer when you call 612612, you can first select option 3 and then option 1, where you can enter the officer’s three digit collar number and either speak to them directly or leave a voicemail, as they may be busy or off duty. Remember that if you are contacting custody, officers will only disclose information where you have been nominated by the detainee.
