We have been made aware of a new e-mail Phishing Scam which appears to be from HM Revenue & Customs.
The bogus email advises customers that they are eligible for a Tax refund, as show in the image below.
HMRC have requested that all such emails are forwarded to phishing@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk
Even if you receive the same / similar phishing email on multiple occasions, please forward it to HMRC and then delete it.
Do not open any attachments or click on any links within the email, as they may contain malicious software.
Do not give out personal information or your credit card details.
