Policing a Pandemic 

A lot has been asked of you lately, stay home, socially distance from others, don't visit your family and friends, all part of the collective efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19.

On the whole most islanders have complied fully with the measures, recognising that they are ultimately saving lives and we are thankful for their efforts.  

We must remember this is not over and we should still adhere to the current Government guidelines.

During this pandemic our policing approach remains clear. We will:

• Engage – with those we suspect to be in breach of the regulations.
• Explain – why these measures are so important in slowing the spread of the virus and saving lives.
• Encourage – people to comply.
• Enforce – only where absolutely necessary, using all available powers.

The States of Jersey Police will continue to be there for all who need us throughout this challenging period.
