Help is at Hand

Few people like to talk about death, and many of us feel awkward around someone who has been bereaved, even if they’re a good friend or close colleague. We want to help, but worry about saying the wrong thing. Sometimes we can put off contacting them, and before long it may seem too late to say anything at all. The Finding the Words  leaflet will hopefully make you feel more comfortable about reaching out to someone bereaved by suicide.

The Help is at Hand leaflet is dedicated to those grieving the death of someone they love. Some sections focus on how you may be feeling; others on what may be happening. Throughout – and in more detail at the back – are some suggestions for sources of further support. There are also quotes from people who have been bereaved and who have experienced some of what you may be going through.

We hope that you find these guides helpful. You can also find some useful information HERE.
