Joint Financial Crime Unit (JFCU)

The JFCU's main purpose is to combat economic crime, including Fraud, Money Laundering (ML) and Terrorist Financing (TF).

The JFCU has three functions:

1. The Island's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU),

2. Financial Crime Investigations, and

3. Asset Recovery

The FIU maintains a comprehensive financial intelligence regime based on    cooperation with local and international partner agencies and Jersey’s financial services industry.

Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Miscellaneous Information Reports (MIRs)

New users will require a link to the new POLSAR portal and login details to submit a SAR or MIR to the FIU team. Existing users can access the POLSAR portal with their existing login credentials.

Process for Regulated Entities:

New users of regulated entities should contact the FIU team by emailing and provide details of the legal entities registered with the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) and who may be required to submit. We would also require the email addresses of the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Deputy(ies) MLROs. Once these details have been provided, a link to the portal and login details will be emailed to the verified user(s).

Process for Unregulated Entities:

New users of unregulated entities (i.e. not registered with the JFSC) should email the FIU team via the above email address and provide the entity(ies) details and the person responsible for submitting reports. Once these details have been provided, a link to the portal and login details will be emailed to the verified user(s).

Guidance for Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) on Submitting a SAR:

If you are an NPO, the FIU and JFSC have produced a helpful guide (including a flowchart) on submitting a SAR and contains other important information.

Assistance and updates:

Should you require assistance requesting new login credentials with the FIU or accessing or using the POLSAR portal, please get in touch with the FIU team via the above email address or by telephone: +44 (0) 1534 612250. Additionally, the FIU team are always keen to offer advice and answer any queries. We can also provide training and can meet face-to-face if this assists.
