Week Six

October 6th 2014 | Dan Taylor, Guernsey student

On Monday morning we had our first big exam, which I’m please to say we all passed with high marks. That was shortly followed on by some interesting lessons on criminal damage.

The rest of the week was much more practical; filled with role plays and lots of hands on experience. Having learnt the theory of ‘stop and search’ the week before, we had a morning of exercises which built on this knowledge; it involved us having to explain the grounds of our search and do a search for what we were looking for….
Some more practical task which we undertook involved’ complex crime’.

I really enjoyed doing these role plays as it gave me a good chance to learn how things are really done, and how I can learn from my mistakes i.e where I went wrong.
Later in the week we had a further break from the classroom, with a very eye opening presentation from all of the emergency services about road safety.

To finish the week we had our next fitness test, which not only did we all pass, but we managed ti beat our previous scores!
